Forum raises climate change awareness
More than 300 students who won scholarships from the Lawrence S. Ting Memorial Fund attended a forum on Saturday on raising environmental awareness in an era of climate change.
According to the Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change, the global temperature will increase by between 1.1 to 6.4 degree Celsius and the sea level will rise by at least one metre by 2099.
Schools involved in the event include Le Hong Phong School for the Gifted, which organised the Hoa Phuong Do (Flamboyant Flower) programme that involved students collecting items for recycling during a door-knocking campaign.
